This is going to be a very controversial article. I ask you to read it prayerfully, not reaching judgement until you have received all the parts, have read them carefully and have looked up the Scriptures. When the whole article is completed, it will answer many questions. Such as where did Cain get his wife? When Cain said, "...whoever finds me will kill me," (Gen. 4:14) who was the "whoever" he was afraid of?? How come there are different races? Why would David say by the Spirit, "...in sin my mother conceived me?" (Ps.51:5) ...for we know that Jesse was his father!? It says that "the sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah." (Gen.4:22) Why is her name mentioned and nothing else said about her; for we know that every word of God was given for a reason? And why does God say concerning Jacob and Esau, while they "...were not yet born and had not done anything good or bad," is it written, " Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated." (Rom.9:11,13)
Often, when we do not know an answer, we will assume something. It is assumed that Cain married his sister although the Word doesn't say that. In fact, it seems that none of Adam's other children were born until after Cain was sent away. And it is assumed that God hated Esau because He knew Esau would sell his birthright. Of course God knew that, but the real reason lies in why he sold it.
Part 1
"For the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light." (Lu.16:8 KJV)
This seems to be a very hard statement. For, what the Lord is saying is that unbelievers are wiser than Christians. Why is this? It isn't because they do not have the same education; being wise or unwise is not referring to one's level of education. I believe it is a result of immaturity in thinking. Paul, the apostle, upbraided the Corinthians because he was not able to speak to them, "...as to spiritual men, but as to men of the flesh, as to infants in Christ." (1Cor.3:1) He said, "...for you are still fleshly," (Vs.3) they had not become "...wise as serpents, and harmless as doves." (Mat.10:16 KJV)
In the seventeenth century, Galileo declared that the earth revolved around the sun. This shook up the religious world because of their belief that everything revolved around earth and that it was the center of God's creation. The church based their thinking on such Scriptures as the sun rising in the east and traveling to the west, (Mat.24:27) along with, "He established the earth upon its foundations, So that it will not totter (or move out of place) forever and ever." (Ps.104:5) So, they denounced his scientific discovery and officially proclaimed him to be a heretic.
I can truthfully say that almost everyone agrees with Galileo today in the fact that the earth is revolving around the sun; even though there are no Scriptures to support or indicate this. Why has everyone come to accept this fact, Christians included, when it is based entirely on scientific evidence? Christians finally became wise enough to agree with "the children of this world" and all the factual proof that science presents. In 1992, the Catholic Church finally owned up to the fact that they were wrong and Galileo had been right. Let me be the first to say that if I had lived in the time of Galileo, I most likely would have thought he was a heretic too!
I have pointed this out to show how Christians, because of what we have been taught, sometimes do not agree with the facts. This is not to say the word of God is wrong, only our understanding of the word because we are immature in our way of thinking. Let us not draw the same unwise conclusions that others made before us by rejecting undeniable facts. Scientific facts and God's word do not disagree. Too often, we read the word of God with the understanding that we have been brought up to believe is the truth. Now remember, we must keep in mind that there is a difference between SCIENTIFIC FACTS and SCIENTIFIC THEORIES. When science does not have all the facts, it will sometimes draw conclusions based on speculation. Therefore, I do not believe or agree with its theory that Adam evolved from an ape, for that is not a fact derived from scientific evidence.
Genesis 1:1 says, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." It does not tell us when the beginning was, but the word tell us, "He is the God who formed the earth and made it, He established it and did not create it a waste place, but formed it to be inhabited." (Isa.45:18) Yet in the second verse of Genesis, it says, "The earth was formless and void." It would be clearer if the word "was" had been translated more accurately with the word "became," like it was in Gen. 2:7, which reads, "...and man BECAME a living soul." Thus, "The earth BECAME formless and void."
And why did the earth "become" formless and void? Because Satan had been judged for his sin and cast down upon the earth with his angels to be "...kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgement." (Ju.1:6)
Almost all evangelical Christians are very adamant that the 7 days of creation are literal 24 hour days, although the Scripture does not say this. The Hebrew word for day is sometimes translated "age." In fact, in the first two chapters of Genesis the word "day" is used with 3 different meanings. "The greater light (the sun) to govern the day, the lesser light (the moon) to govern the night." (Gen.1:16) This use of the word "day" is referring to when the sun is up or approximately 12 hours. Another time it says, "These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day (singular not "days") that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens," (Gen.2:4 KJV) This time the use of the word "day" is in reference to all 7 days of the creation period. Lastly the word "day" is used to describe each period of time in the creation from the evening and the morning.
I will take the third day of creation to show that it does not seem logical that it was a 24 hour day---
THE THIRD DAY. "Then God said, 'Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear.'" (Gen.1:9) "Then God said, 'Let the earth sprout vegetation: plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them.'" (Vs.11) Now let us follow exactly what happened. The waters were drawn back. God would have had to freeze the ice caps at the north and south poles to keep the waters from covering the earth again. Then, He had to dry out the land, for it was soaked from being underwater for who knows how long. Next, He made all the vegetation, plants and trees grow and bear fruit all on the third "day" for it says, "...and it was so." (Vs.11) Does this seem logical to you that it all happened in 24 hours? This is not to say God could not have done it in that timeframe. There is just no indication that they did not grow in the same normal fashion as they do today, seeing that every seed produces after its own kind and in the same manner. He did not speak trees into existence with fruit on them; rather, He put the seeds in the ground and "...a mist used to rise from the earth and water the whole surface of the ground." (Gen.2:5,6) This seems to indicate that it occurred more than once. "Out of the ground the LORD God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight and good for food." (Vs.9) I do not know of any trees that will grow from a seed to full maturity and bear fruit in 24 hours. That sounds like the magic beans in the fairy tale, Jack in the Beanstalk. If it was a 24 hour "day" it seems that God would have just spoken the word and trees would have appeared instantly; similar to way the fairy grandmother in Cinderella did, when she touch the mice and they turned into horses and the pumpkin turned into a carriage. Isn't it time to get away from the magic of beans and fables and think maturely and logically?
Some time around the year 2000 AD, a star went supernova, which is to say it exploded. Since it is a rare thing, scientists were very excited about being able to view such an event. This star was so far away that it took 5 billion light years for the light to reach earth. So, if everything was created only 6 thousand years ago, it would still be almost 5 billion years before that light will reach earth. Most of the stars in our sky would not be visible today, seeing as they are over 6 thousand light years away.
Most Christians refuse to relent or recognize that they could be wrong and hold to the same mentality that branded Galileo a heretic. Some hold to a theory which is without any Scriptural or scientific evidence, that light previously traveled faster. When confronted with the improbability that Noah's ark could have held all the dinosaurs because of their monstrous size, one Christian came up with a bizarre idea that Noah took only the eggs of the dinosaurs into the ark. This contradicts the word of God, which said the unclean animals went in two by two and the clean by seven. If we are honest, we must admit these are immature ways of thinking solely used to justify our beliefs.
Now, I know science is used by Satan to move people away from God, but that doesn't mean science is in complete error. (It proved not to be in the case concerning Galileo's discovery.) Otherwise, how could they get a spacecraft which has journey for 2 years, or longer, to rendezvous at a given time and place with a planet which is also moving through space at an amazing rate of speed? I do not believe science disproves God but rather proves the Bible when we look only at the facts. There is no evidence to make evolution a fact. Just as there is no evidence that light used to travel faster than it does now and that God made the vegetation and trees grow in 24 hours. The Catholic Church acknowledged Galileo was right, but in their stubbornness refused to admit the truth until 1992, just as some Christians today refuse to admit facts which have been proven to be true.
Genesis was written by Moses and although he was educated in Egypt, they had no concept or number for a million, a billion, or higher. God can only use the knowledge that a man has to relay His truths to us. Let's say God wanted to tell Moses that man would fly in airplanes. There was no word for airplanes so He would have to use words like 'on the wings of Eagles.' Remember God lives in eternity and time is only a measure for man. If we are saved, we have eternal life. How can you measure eternal life? If you try to measure it from the realm of man, how many years will that be? It is impossible!!!
Let's look at some other uses in Scriptures of the word "day." "The DAY of the of the LORD is coming." (Joel 2:1) This is not one day but a period of time. "Behold, now is 'THE ACCEPTABLE TIME,' behold, now is the 'DAY OF SALVATION.'" (2Cor.6:2) If that is only one 24 hour "day'" a lot of people are in trouble. 2 Peter 3:8 reads, "With the Lord one DAY is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like one DAY." With the understanding that a DAY can mean a period of 12 hours, 24 hours, or a period of a long duration, what proof is there to substantiate that the 6 "days" of creation are 24 hour "days?"
In 1353 AD, there appeared in Europe "The Shroud of Turin, " which was claimed to be the burial cloth of Christ. Radiocabon dating by 3 diferent labortories all dated it to the 14th century, thus proving it to be a fake. Carbon dating has also proved that the earth is very much older than the 6,000 years that many Christians believe. Isn't it time that Christians grow up and accept what are true facts? If you don't believe in proven facts, you must still believe that the sun is revolving around the earth.
Part 2
We must read the word of God carefully or we may miss what is being said because we generally read it according to the way we have been taught. Look at Genesis 1: 26 and 27, "Then God said, 'Let us MAKE man in Our image, according to Our likeness.' God CREATED man in His Own image, in the image of God He CREATED him." You will notice I put emphasis on the words "make" and "create" because there is a great difference between them; when we understand their use, the mystery of God begins to unfold.
The Wright brothers "created" the first airplane therefore no one can now "create" one. Someone may be able to "make" one but what is "created" is unique and has never been done before. Let's use this scenario. Say the Wright brothers have "created" the first airplane and I decide to "make" one. But the one I plan to "make" will be different, in that it will be a jet airplane. So once I "make" it, I would have "created" a jet airplane because it was unique and the first of its kind.
Look again at what God said "...Let us MAKE man" - thus He was making something that already existed; but He "made" him "...in His own image" - therefore He "created" a unique man called Adam, who was "the son of God." (Lu.3:38) Adam was the created "son of God" and Jesus was the begotten "Son of God."
Adam was created around 6,000 thousand years ago according to the word of God, but scientists have found remains of men who existed millions of years ago. Often they are referred to as cavemen or with a more scientific name such as Neanderthal and Cro-magnon people. Even though they were men they were not the same as modern man (the Adam man) in appearance and brain size. Can we deny the facts, when their remains have been found and DNA evidence date them to be much older than the Adam man? This is why scientists cannot find the "missing link," because modern man did not evolve form primitive man but was created uniquely different. Now if this is not true, are we to claim that Adam looked like one of these "cavemen" that they have dug up? I don't think so! Are we to disregard the scientific evidence that date them to be much older than Adam; as the church did Galileo's discovery?
Genesis 3:1, says, "Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made." This was the first use of the word "serpent" and it did not mean a snake at that time. Just as I pointed out in the first part of "Creation" that the word "day" had many different uses, so does the word "serpent." When Jesus said, "I give you authority to tread on serpents," (Lu.10:19) He wasn't saying we should walk on snakes. I have never known of a snake that could talk. Man is the only creature that God created with the ability of oral communication. Actually the serpent was a man, for it says he was more crafty than any beast of the field. If he had been a beast of the field it would read, "...the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field."
Often, when speaking we may put words together incorrectly, yet, we know what is meant. God's word is written perfectly so there will be no misunderstanding as to what He is saying. I might say that Albert Einstein was more intelligent than ANY man and although you may know what I am saying it would be incorrect. To be correct I would have to say, "Albert Einstein was more intelligent than ANY OTHER man." Otherwise, I would be saying he was more intelligent than even himself because he was also a man.
As I have said previously, the word of God is written perfectly in its original language of Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. Some parts of Genesis are written in a poetic and symbolic manner. For instance, when Jesus spoke in parables about sheep, goats, wheat, and tares, He was using natural things to make reference to something spiritual. Likewise the tree of "the knowledge of good and evil" and "the tree of life" were designated to stand for something spiritual.
There is not nor has there ever been a tree from which you could eat and have eternal life. For, "God has given us eternal life and the life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life." (1Jn.5:11,12) A tree would have to have eternal life itself in order for the fruit from it to give eternal life. "She (the wisdom of God) is a tree of life to those who take hold of her." - "The fruit of righteousness (which comes from God) is a tree of life." - "To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life (the fruit of this tree is the free gift of God-Rom.6:23) which is in the Paradise of God." (Pro.3:18;11:30;Rev.2:7) All these Scriptures speaking of "the tree of life" are not speaking of a physical tree, but of something that comes from God, who alone has eternal life to give.
Now, let's go back to this man, who is called the serpent. He was saying to the woman that if she ate of the "the tree of the knowledge of good and evil," she would be like a god. Thus, she did and also enticed her husband to do the same. Now if the reference to the "tree of life" was not a literal tree, then neither was the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil." So what was its symbolic reference? The answer is it was sexual intercourse. When someone does wrong, the tendency is to cover up what they did. If they had eaten an apple, they would have covered their mouths; instead they covered their private parts with a apron of fig leaves.
Before you incorrectly conclude that this is not right because God had told them to be fruitful and multiply, let me explain. The events of the first few chapters of Genesis are not necessarily in chronological order. In the first chapter God tells of all 6 days in which He brought forth dry land, vegetation, animals, etc. Then in the second chapter He goes into more details concerning the 3rd day. God tells how He created Adam and Eve and blessed them tells them to be fruitful in the 1st chapter. Then in the 2nd chapter, He gives the particulars of putting Adam to sleep and fashioning woman from a rib taken from Adam's side. As always, God wishes to know if man will obey Him. Therefore, by telling Adam not to "eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil," God at first told him not to have relations with his wife to see if Adam would obey. Adam relayed what God told him to his wife but she disobeyed her husband and then lead him astray. This is why a woman is not permitted to teach or preach and exercise authority over a man (1Tim.2:11,12) and not permitted to speak - like in teaching and preaching. (1Cor.14:34) For "...it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression." (1Tim.2:14) Whenever a woman leaves the covering of her head she can fall into transgression and can deceive those who listen to her. This is hard for liberated women to accept. But what is it about the words "rule" and "subject" that they cannot understand? God said to the woman "...your desire will be for your husband, And he will rule over you." (Gen.33:16) "Wives be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church - as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything." (Eph.5:22-24)
God cursed the serpent man and said, "On your belly you will go, And dust you will eat." (Gen.3:14) This does not mean he was turned into a snake, for a snake does not eat dirt. It is a prophesy foretelling that the ungodly will desire the earthly things of the world. "Whose god is their appetite" - literally their belly. (Phil.3:19)
This answers the age old questions: "Where did Cain get his wife?" - "Who was 'the whoever' Cain was afraid would kill him when he was sent out east of Eden and settled in Nod?" Just as there were different species of cattle and different species of dogs, there were different men in the earth. These different species of cattle and different species of dogs were able to breed among their own kind and still produce offspring of their own kind. Scientists have found evidence that prove there were different types of man that lived at one time on earth. Some may have been white, black, yellow, or brown; but they all belonged to the family of "man." We know for a fact the caucasian, negro, and asian races can inter-bred. I do not know what race Adam and Eve were, but it is not logical (or possible) that Adam and Eve conceived one baby who was caucasian, another that was negro and still another who was asian.
Until we get away from the "apple mentality," we will never see the truth or fully understand the full plan of God. It wasn't as if God didn't know what was going to happen, rather Eve was made the weaker vessel to correspond with His purpose. "For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will also be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God." (Rom.8:20,21)
Part 3
As I said previously the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil" was actually a sex act. So let us read the word carefully and we will understand what really happened in the garden. "She took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate." (Gen.3:6) Look at what happens as a result. Now the man had relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain, and said, 'I have gotten a man child with the help of the LORD.' Again, she gave birth to his brother Abel." (Gen.4:1,2)
Everywhere else in the bible, it always says a man knew or had relations with his wife and she gave birth and he knew her again and she gave birth again. Not so in this case, for after she gave birth to Cain it says she gave birth AGAIN to Abel. So she gave birth to two babies or twins. One child, Cain, was of "the evil One" (1Jn.3:12) and the other one was fathered by Adam who was the created "son of God." (Lu.3:38)
Before you say that this is impossible, let me give you the medical facts. When a women has one egg fertilized and it divides, that is what is called identical twins and they will either be both male or female. When two eggs are fertilized that is called fraternal twins and they can be the same sex or different sex. Doctors say that two different eggs can be fertilized up to 10 days apart or longer.
When God was dealing with me about what happened in the garden, I was not able to understand exactly what happened. Then one day while waiting in a office, I picked up a news magazine and read about a woman in Germany who had sex with 2 different soldiers on the same day. She conceived by both of them and gave birth to twins. Because one soldier was black and one was white, one twin was black and his brother was white. Suddenly the revelation opened up to me.
I remembered, as a very young Christian, opening a book that had been translated from old Jewish writings, and read, "As you know the first sin was adultery." It contained a footnote by the English translator saying, "The Jews had some foolish idea the first sin was adultery." I put the book down thinking it was just a Jewish myth.
After Cain killed Abel, Adam had another son "...in his own likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth." (Gen.5:3) After Seth had a son, it says, "Then men began to call upon the name of the LORD." (Gen 4:26) The word "upon" is more accurately translated "by." They began to call themselves "by" the name of the LORD, or "sons of God," because they were the offspring of Adam who was "the son of God," as I previously pointed out. Adam's descendants started making a distinction between "Adam's seed" and the "seed born of the serpent." (Gen.3:15)
Men have been teaching that the "sons of God" that are spoken of in Genesis 6 chapter were angels, who took wives of women and had children by them. The fact is that angels are not "sons of God" but "...ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation." (Heb1:14) (There are other Scriptures that may mislead people into thinking angels are called "Sons," which I will not go into here and now.) Jesus said, in the resurrection we neither marry or are given in marriage, but are like angels. (Lu.20:34-36) Angels do not have sexual relations and if they could they would not be able to breed, seeing that we are terrestrial bodies and angels are celestial. (1Cor.15:40)
What really happened in the sixth chapter of Genesis is the descendants of Adam, as they began to multiply, took wives of the daughters who were descendants of Cain. This is what caused God to bring about the destruction of the flood, for it was not His will that the godly children of Adam should marry the daughters of Cain and mix the godly seed with the ungodly seed of Cain. Genesis 4:22, says "...the sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah." This is the only mention of her with no explanation, and because all God's word has a reason and purpose, it is telling us something. The name Naamah means "beautiful." "The sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose." (Gen.6:2) She was most likely either married to Noah or one of his sons because the evil seed of Cain survived the flood in Ham.
Right after the flood it says, "Ham, ...saw the nakedness of his father." (Gen.9:22) Lets read the 24th verse very carefully. "When Noah awoke from his wine, he knew what his youngest son HAD DONE TO HIM." Ham had done more than just look at his father. (Let the reader understand.) "If there is a man who lies with his father's wife, he has uncovered his father's nakedness." (Lev.20:11) This refers to having sexual relationship with the father's wife not just seeing his nakedness.
Jesus taught explicitly that there are two seeds. In the parable of the net cast into the sea, the fisher keeps the good or clean fish and the bad or unclean are thrown away. (Mat.13:47-48) Under the Law certain fish were considered unclean, such as catfish. Now a catfish doesn't do anything to make itself unclean, it is unclean because it was born a catfish.
Again Jesus taught a parable concerning sheep and goats. It is important to notice they were separated by what they were, not by their deeds - sheep on the right and goats on the left. (Mat.25:32,33) Jesus told the Pharisees, "...you do not believe because you are not My sheep." (Jn.10:26) Because they were goats He said, "... you are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning." (Jn.8:44)This is saying their father goes back to Cain, for he was the murderer from the beginning. Jesus came to find lost sheep, not to find goats and turn them into sheep; for if they are born a goat they will always be a goat, for it's impossible for them to turn into sheep. In the parable of the lost sheep, (Lu.15:3-7) the sheep belonged to the one who lost it. Likewise, we who are sheep, belong to God and He searches until he finds all of us who are His sheep.
Also in the parable of the woman who lost her coin, (Lu.15:8,9) the coin belonged to her before she lost it. If it had belonged to someone else she would have had to give it back to them or she would have been a thief. From these parables we see that God is searching for what is His; and because the seeds have been mixed, He is having to separate those who belong to Him from the ones who belong to the evil one. Jesus said, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." (Jn.10:27) Sheep know the voice of their shepherd and when the shepherd would move to another pasture he would just call and his sheep would follow because they recognized his voice. Likewise those that belong to God will recognize the voice of Jesus through the hearing of the word of God and will be drawn to Him.
Before Jacob and Esau were born or had done anything good or bad, the word says, "Just as it is written, 'Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated." (Rom.9:11-13) Rebekah had conceived twins by one man, her husband Isaac; and although the seed had been mixed through intermarriage, God still knew which was the good seed and which was the bad seed.
Everyone is born with the sinful nature and because of that nature, man has a tendency to commit sins. You don't have to teach a child to steal a cookie or tell a lie, for the sinful nature within causes them to do so. We have to teach them not to lie, steal, etc. The one exception to this is the man Jesus who did not have that sinful nature and was therefore able to die for our sins. And why did He not have that sinful nature? Because He was NOT BORN ACCORDING TO THE ORIGINAL SIN, which was sexual intercourse. Thus, it was necessary for Him to be born of a virgin so that He did not possess a sinful nature from birth - and because He walked in complete obedience, He was without sin. As a result, Jesus was the only one who could be offered up for our sins.
David says, "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me." (Ps.51:5) Naturally speaking, if a woman conceives a child in sin, it would be because she was not married or had committed adultery. But David was speaking, by the Spirit, of the "original sin" for his mother did not conceive him through adultery. We know that her husband, Jesse, was David's father.
Now look at Proverbs 30:20, "This is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth, And says, 'I have done no wrong.'" This is not speaking of eating food and wiping her mouth with a napkin; rather it means she cleans up the evidence of her adultery so that it appears she has "done no wrong."
I have said previously that Jesus taught these things. Read carefully the parable of the wheat and the tares. "And He said, 'The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, and the field is the world; (God created man in His image and place him in this world) and as for the good seed , these are the sons of the kingdom; (Adam's seed) and the tares are the sons of the evil one; (Cain was of the evil one - 1Jn.3:12) and the enemy who sowed them is the devil.'" (Mat 13:37-39)
The reason that God often in the Old Testament ordered the Israelis to kill all the men, women, and even the children, was because He knew they were the seed of the evil one. In case there were any that were of the righteous seed, He knows how to rescue them, as He demonstrated when He saved Rahab and He destroyed Jericho. "The Lord know how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgement." (2Pet.2:9)
